About Joni

My name is Joni; I am a wife, mother of a large family (now mostly grown up), and recently earned the honorable title of Grandma! I grew up in a large family, and have always been a nurturer and caregiver. My first experiences as a caregiver for seniors was working as a CNA at a nursing home in High School. Since then I have cared for all ages and levels of abilities and disabilities in many years of home health care; have also worked in a group home, and with children in daycare setting, as a nanny, and caring for my own children. Overall my personality is calm, compassionate, and caring. I believe if someone I have cared for in the past were to describe me, they may use words like trustworthy, kind, caring, responsible. Now at the ending of my mostly a stay-at-home mom 'career', I am looking for new purpose in life. I love to spend my time with my immediate and extended family, and friends; I like to cook and bake, read, listen to audiobooks, and knit
