About John Henry

Hi There! I'm a creative and educated individual looking for a position as a tutor and/or caretaker. I love kids and love to educate across a expansive array of fields including art, literature, Spanish, history, science, and even culinary arts. My education and experience: I have a Master's degree in Sculpture and Painting from Hunter College and a Bachelor's in Literature and Studio Art from the University of Vermont. For the last year I assisted teaching preK-8th grade here in Nashville. I was a TA during my time in grad school. I have excellent working Spanish having studied since the age of 12 and having lived in Spain for 6 months. For the past few years I've been working as a professional chef. I'd love to work on creative and thought-provoking projects and lessons tailored to you and your child's specific needs as well as general care taking responsibilities including meal prep. My schedule is very flexible and I am open to both part-time and full-time work.
