About Joan

Hi! I'm Joan. I'm a 1st year SLP graduate student at UF, and I got my Bachelor's degree at USF. I have had 2 clinical rotations so far, including outpatient pediatric rehab, where I learned to treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders in children from infants-teens. I'm in my 2nd experience at a skilled nursing facility, treating adults and the geriatric population for cognition, language, and feeding/swallowing. I assist with meal times and ensure safe and efficient swallowing. I have experience with a wide variety of medical complexities and assistance levels. I am CPR/BLS certified. I have further levels of background checks for clinicals, and I'm happy to provide more info. In my free time I am studying, hanging out with my friends or cat, cleaning my apartment, out shopping or at a coffee shop. I'm a safe driver, reliable, caring, clean, and fun! I'm confident I will provide the best care for all ages, I'd love to get to know you/your family!
