I began providing childcare in 2014 while supporting myself through undergrad at UCSB, passionately caring for kids via Care. com. Since then, I've nurtured a diverse range of children, from newborns to lively toddlers and school-aged kids. My graduate studies have provided invaluable exposure to supporting children with various communication-related special needs, including cerebral palsy, autism, emotional disorders, and more. I firmly believe that every child's behavior reflects an underlying need, and it's our responsibility as adults to understand and address those needs. Jess is a stellar caretaker. My two children (2-year-old girl and 4-year-old boy) took to her immediately. In my house, it's not easy for me to "escape" my children but Jess has a certain way about her that made my children happy to play with her while I worked in another area of the house. Jess worked for our family until she graduated college and we were sad to see her go. She worked afternoon hours and once a week helped my daughter go to sleep while I was getting my son to sleep in another room. Jess cooked dinner for us all the time and she cooks quite well. I highly recommend Jess!
