About Jessica

I grew up assisting my mom with her in-home childcare business, serving children 0-8 years old, where I developed a passion for working with children. I was driven to learn more about child development, so I began classes and obtained my CDA, I continue to take trainings and classes, to further my knowledge on the diverse needs of children, which has helped me achieve a step 6 on Oregon Registry. For the last 5 years, I have worked with children 0-5 at a Head Start program, serving families from a variety of backgrounds. Through this position, I was able to become highly skilled in working with children with a wide variety of needs, including children with behavioral challenges, speech and developmental delays, PTSD, sensory processing disorders, and children on the autism spectrum. Being bilingual has provided you the opportunity to help children become fluent in both English and Spanish, which is an incredibly valuable skill that they can carry on to their futures.
