About Jessica
English Professor and Writing Tutor: high school & college. In my undergrad years, at NPU (Chicago) I majored in English; next, graduate school -MA in 1999. Since then, I have taught at several colleges & two private high schools, including UNC Chapel Hill. Currently, I teach at Rock Valley College (12 yrs) & English as a Second language. I assist students re. college admissions essays and SAT essay prep and GRE essay prep. Overall, I love teaching and helping people see that anyone can be a writer and understand literature. Note: I am a beginner in Spanish & French. I have played piano my whole life, so I can teach piano and how to read music.
