About Jessica

Hello! I am a student at SOU working on a biology major and applied statistics minor. Although I do not have any paid experience tutoring, I volunteered as an AVID peer tutor in high school for sixth and eleventh grade, as well as volunteered at the Outdoor School program in the Portland Metro area where I was responsible with teaching fifth and sixth graders science in an outdoor setting. I am very passionate about math and science, and I love sharing my passion with others. My prior experience and training with tutoring inform me on different ways to engage tutees and give them a better understanding of the material they are learning.
