About Jenny

I have 10 year of experience as a certified high school science teacher. I have taught Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Environmental Science. I have taught AP Biology and AP Environmental Science, with a 90% pass rate for each course. I focus on making lessons and content engaging and relevant for students by connecting to real world issues. My instructional style involves a lot of hands-on activities, investigations, and manipulatives to help make abstract concepts more concrete. I focus on scientific reasoning and data analysis, skills which are critical for standardized tests. I am looking for opportunities to help students and families to build their knowledge and skills while school is disrupted or modified. I can serve as a learning coach for students enrolled in a virtual school full or part time, or can work with students who are homeschooled.
