I had a wonderful telephone interview last week with Jen and was looking forward to having her come for a training day this past Tuesday and begin work Friday. We were caught off guard when she didn't show up, contact us or answer our texts or phone calls. I was worried that surely something must have happened to her to warrant such circumstances. I reminded her that we were expecting her and that I had let go of someone with the expectation of Jen filling that role as she had indicated. Just heard from her today. She said that unforeseen circumstances are preventing her from accepting. In my book, dependability is everything. We need to know that unless someone is ill or injured they will show up when they say they will. And the only excuse for not calling or having someone call to alert of an absence, is a coma or death.
