As a psychology major, I have always been fascinated by people and trying to understand them. Working with special needs people has given me the opportunity to utilize this passion while helping others at the same time and is incredibly fulfilling to me. During my final year of college, I did internships with Saratoga Bridges at a special needs day habilitation, and within Sibshops, a program for children with special needs siblings. I also nannied for a fairly nonverbal child on the autism spectrum and found I have a knack for communication skills. Overall, I feel this community of people truly has so much to offer, and I hope to continue working within it and helping people throughout my life!
