My experience as both a special education teacher and third grade co-teacher has afforded me with the unique experience to develop an expertise in delivering individualized instruction using research-based methods. Currently, I am a third grade Learning Expert Teacher at BASIS Independent Brooklyn. As a Learning Expert Teacher, I am responsible for co-planning and delivering differentiated instruction to meet a wide range of learning needs in my classroom. Before coming to BASIS, my role as a special education teacher allowed me to develop an invaluable skill set in delivering targeted instruction utilizing research- based approaches. I had the opportunity to hone my skills in writing and interpreting academic evaluations, which helped inform the strategies that I taught my students.
