Meet Jeannine

I have been working in the animal care industry my whole life. I am 42. I have been a veterinary technician, dog walker, kennel worker/manager, groomer, bather/brusher, horse stable/farm worker/manager, etc. I have also always had my own animals such as: dogs, cats, horses, birds, geese, cows, chinchillas, etc. I currently have two dogs and two cats who I love dearly. I now have my own pet care business and I love having all the knowledge and experience from all my previous jobs. It makes me a very well rounded pet care provider. I am very flexible, and I am not on someone's time clock so I can take my time caring for pets the way I know they should be! I love getting to know each and every pet as an individual as they are. Tending to their needs with love and kindness, helping them to feel safe, happy, and cared for with enthusiasm!! I am walking fanatic, which suits my dog clients well. I can provide great references from happy clients. From daily walks to extended vacation boarding in my home or yours I do it all!!

Rude. Unprofessional. I tried to hire this woman to come to the privacy of my home while I was going away on vacation. I asked her if she could provide some of her info, place of work or at least an address. She denied doing this, and instead became really defensive, rude and started to raised false accusations about me. I would think a professional, yet experienced person would be understanding and would be willing to to make an employer feel comfortable, until getting to know her. I tried to explain to this woman the reasoning why I needed some sort of information about her besides a name and reviews which anyone could write. I explained that this was for my protection. After all, is a job and in every single place of future employment the minimum they asked for, is for your Phone, home address, any other related jobs, references, etc. This woman was so reluctant and suspicious that automatically raised a red flag on my end. If she had my home address as her future employer, I felt with the right to at least also have hers. After all I was going to have a complete stranger watching over my pet and entering and exiting my house, while I was gone. I wanted to have at least a place of employment or address just for my own protection, in case something happened. Was not my intention to insult anyone, all I was doing was protecting my home and pet. Potential hires should understand this.
