About Jeannie

The greatest joy of my life was caring for my mother so she could remain in her home until she passed, which was her biggest wish. With the help of my sister, who did the overnight shift, we made it happen. She passed peacefully away with all of her family gathered around her just 4 months shy of her 86th birthday. I learned the importance of patience and preserving an individual's dignity and independence. I administered breathing treatments, medication, and personal care. We spent the days reminiscing about her life and the current political events. It was important to keep her mind sharp as her body declined.
