I have taken care of Alzheimer's, diabetic and bronchitis patients. I have more than 10 years experience taking care of elderly patients with different medical difficulties. After completing relevant trainings, I worked at a retirement center that caters for Alzheimer's and dementia patients. I spent the next 2 years taking care of an elderly patient who has Alzheimer's at his own home before being bed-ridden. I spent the next 6 years taking care of another elderly patient who had respiratory problems with enlarged prostate at his own home. He was mostly bed ridden and and most care was done in bed. I had to irrigate his catheter and take him to the senior center on a regular basis as a form of entertainment for him. I arranged most of his doctor's appointments, run his errands and attend to related matters that may arise from time to time. I have also taken care of a diabetic patient where I had to administer his insulin shots on a daily basis. I can operate a Hoyer lift (both manual and electric), do transferring, showering, and can do light cooking. I have my own car and can be trusted. I am loyal, responsible, mature, kind and very confident.
