Jasmine was polite. Very responsive to messages and had a great sense of “can do” when asked about simply keeping an eye on my daughter with special needs. She texted to ensure she would still be babysitting that evening, as we had a birthday dinner to attend. I confirmed and ensured she had the address. THEN, Jasmine cancelled stating she was “getting sick and didn’t want to get my daughter sick.” I understood, however, you knew you were not feeling well but cancelled 2 hrs before you’re suppose to show up. Based on Care’s policy, I was still charged a fee, that went to the sitter, who cancelled 2 hrs before the job. Seems disreputable to me. The sitter still received a payment when they were the one who cancels or no shows. We ended up having to take our daughter with us to the restaurant. She was very uncomfortable due to the loudness, even with her audio proof headphones on. It made the birthday dinner a bit more difficult to enjoy than needed. I will not be using this sitter or this service again.
