I love seeing the excitement and joy on a child's face as they create, play and have fun! I am a retired occupational therapist, college prof, mother of 3 and very active grandmother of 4. Those are my precious life achievements and joy - not necessarily in order of importance! LOL Once a single "empty nester" I simply found new joy in assisting other families as a nanny in the "raising a child as a community" idea. Now moving to CA to be nearer a daughter and my partner - I wish to continue working with a new family on a part time basis. I follow parental instructions and preferred structure for child/household, as long as clearly identified initially. I use a strong age appropriate developmental approach to activity selection of each child, and intermix montesorri and sensory integration strategies to augment learning, growth and fun! I am comfortable working with families who have children with physical, medical, sensory, emotional, cognitive or mental health challenges.
