About Jamie

Hello! My name is Jamie, and I am passionate about working with individuals with disabilities! I have started out working with individuals with disabilities by volunteering in my high school special education room, when I was a junior in high school in 2013. I then went to the UW-Whitewater to be a special education teacher. While in college, I began working at ARCh Camp Pow Wow, a specialized day and overnight camp for individuals with disabilities. I worked two summers as a camp counselors, two summers as camp director, and one summer as an assistant producer to an online camp (2020). I graduated from college in December of 2018, and then taught at the elementary and high school level for 2. 5 years. In 2021, I transitioned to a full time position at a sheltered apartment for individuals with autism. In 2022, I started my own organization that provides recreational activities for individuals with disabilities and began working privately as a respite caregiver.
