About Jamie

I'd describe my personality as caring, patient, dependable. I like caring for seniors because I had to rely on others to take care of my own mother with Alzheimer's at times. I was so thankful for the wonderful people that allowed us to have breaks that I could trust with her care. I'm looking for a job that allows me to spend some of my summer's free time helping others. I am a teacher throughout the school year and am looking forward to the flexibility of choosing the "right fits." In my mother's final stages of dementia, I spent countless hours at her facility volunteering, helping, celebrating, feeding and caring for all the residents I grew to love! I like to read, walk, spend time with my family. We love to vacation together when we can. One thing you should know about me is I understand! I experienced first hand the difference a wonderful companion/caretaker could make in the life of a senior and the respite it provides to deserving family members/caretakers.
