I'm a semi-retired author and filmmaker who enjoys teaching kids by getting them excited about books like Treasure Island, The Old Man and the Sea and The Count of Monte Cristo. A close friend retired and became a tutor and said it was the best thing he'd ever done. That's how I became interested. My wife and I were not able to have children so I became a devoted uncle and love being around kids. I feel I've done my job if I can help a child become a lifelong learner.
