About Iris

Hello! I love animals and have been around them my whole life. I grew up with a small zoo so I have experience with less-common animals like reptiles, birds and even horses! I am very comfortable with everyday pet care, I love dog walks and can manage meds or sick/elder pet care with a calm, reassuring approach. I am a competent, timely professional with a side art business, just looking to pick up some hours or regular, ongoing care. I have been a member of care. com since 2013 and have excellent references from nanny families, and my current role includes pet care/daily dog walking for a nervous small dog. This included some light training such as distracting him from barking when the mail is delivered or someone is at the door. I have had some good success with helping this pup and have general dog training awareness, although I would not call my self a dog trainer.
