About Helen

I like tutoring because I love seeing students succeed. I enjoy helping students of all ages especially in reading and writing. I incorporate brain strengthening exercises to help with auditory and visual processing, concentration, attention, and working memory. I'm looking for a job that helps children be successful in school. Tutoring is rewarding and it brings me joy to work with children. I started tutoring many years ago. I have taught in many different settings and children of all ages over the years in classrooms, home school classes, and one on one tutoring for struggling learners using a cognitive brain training curriculum. I enjoy working with struggling learners, and one of my goals is to encourage them to do their best even if they are improving just one baby step at a time. I struggled in school when I young, so I am very patient because I know how it feels. I love to find fun and creative ways to learn and make it memorable.
