About Helen

I've always loved teaching others. Tutoring gives me the opportunity to do just that outside of a classroom setting. I also love to connect with those children and help them succeed. I started tutoring a few weeks ago. I happened to mention my willingness to teach children, and that's when it took off. I was already serving kids at my local church , and tutoring grew my passion for children. As I'm tutoring, I'm also learning. In my spare time, I like to read, do physical activities, go out with friends either shopping or just enjoying a coffee. I like to socialize a lot and connect with people, but I do appreciate as well very much to be on my own and reflect on my personal life. One thing you should know about me is I'm patient. I like to give room for the child to be himself/herself, and then redirect the child towards what their current task is. I'm very attentive , observant , and I'm looking forward to grow in giving my best to the child.
