I have grown up very closely with all of my cousins. My younger cousin, Francesca, has been my little side-kick since she was born. She has a rare chromosomal disorder which includes developmental disabilities. Francesca has taught me so much that I wouldn't have learned otherwise. She has given me a new perspective on life because she is so emotional, loving, caring, and so many other things. She has taught me how to love life through patience, kindness, generosity, etc. I have never had paid experience with special needs children, but I have always cared for Francesca so obviously my experience is about family, not about the money! I am able to see how special needs children are the best part of being in a family and I am so lucky!
