Hi, my name is Tashonna H. and I am currently a speech pathology major at Long Island University. For the past 8 years I have worked with kids in my community, babysitting and tutoring. I also have experience taking care of kids with special needs as I have a brother who is a special needs child. My little brother is currently 8 years old an he has multiple disabilities. Within my major I have learned about kids with special needs and the science of the disorders, but only through working and living with a special needs child do you really understand how to take care of and help them the way they need to be helped. I am passionate about what I do because everyone deserves the right to learn and be treated equally, no matter what. I love kids & I love teaching. I graduate with my bachelor's from college next year. I honestly believe I would be exceptional for this position.
