I have always felt a calling to help kids grow and learn through supporting their curiosity and encouraging them to explore the world around them. I enjoy helping children build the skills they need to become kind, confident, fulfilled, and intellectually curious adults, all while having fun! My preference is to get kids exploring outside in nature as much as possible, so we might go on walks, scavenger hunts, build forts, make up our own creative games, play sports, and/or draw the things we see. I'm also mindful to attend to each child's social-emotional needs, so we may often talk about our feelings, the feelings of others, how to navigate conflict, how to communicate our needs in a way others can understand. My ultimate goals as a child care provider is to maximize opportunities for learning while keeping consistent with establish routines/expectations/rules and the unique culture and values of each family I serve.

Anyone would be lucky to have Heather as their caregiver. She puts the child’s health and safety first and isn’t afraid of getting her hands dirty. She will actually sit down and play with your child for hours while teaching them important vocabulary and life lessons. She will take your child out in the woods to look for animal foot prints and discover different bugs. She will read and play games, give baths, clip nails, apply cream while have the kids laundry going at the same time. Heather has been working for us off and on for several years. When my daughter was a baby she was on a full time schedule. My daughter had respiratory issues that Heather managed flawlessly with nebulize treatments on a set schedule & cleaning the humidifier. This in addition to diapers changes, cream, bottles, laundry and sanitizing of bottles and toys. I’ve witnessed Heather caring for my kids as infants up to 7 years of age helping them read, learn how to bike and build LEGO. Heather is a catch, she won’t disappoint. We are no longer in need of a regular nanny but she would be the-hired in a heartbeat.
