About Hanna

My experience in childcare started informally as I was the eldest of 7 cousins, and was the on call babysitter for all of my family for most of my early teen years. I also babysat for some neighborhood kids throughout my time in school as well. When I was 16 I became a counselor in training at YMCA Camp Willson, where I was trained in basic children's first aid and CPR, as well as becoming a mandated reporter. I worked as a camp counselor at the same camp for 2 more years seasonally, where I was responsible for a group of 10-15 children each week. I went through a morning routine with the children, made sure they were all eating at meals, kept track of medications and vitamins they took, ran activities and also ran through bedtime routines. I was responsible for this group of kids 24/7 for the week that I had them, and it was some of the most fun work I have ever done in my life!
