About Gwen

I have two years of experience working as an education teacher, for a center. One of those years working as a supervising teacher. I had an assessment done scoring a "high quality" classroom. I currently have my food handlers permit, business's license for child care, CPR and first aid certification. I've taken a handful of child care/early education classes in addition to required classes. One specifically for preschool aged children, an outdoor play class which I use as everyday practice, and a "risky play" class to challenge kids safely. I currently substitute for a preschool occasionally since 2021. Ive also been a nanny for over a year now, hoping to refill some days currently unbooked. I believe kids learn the most while playing. I encourage outdoor play, walks, parks, and activities. I use gentle parenting/teaching and teach consequential thinking and emotional regulation, along with general milestone skills. I try incorporating teaching life skill as much as possible.
