About Gretchen

Kids and dogs immediately like me, and at any social gathering you will find me on the floor with them. When a child is passionate about something, whether the topic is football, Pokémon, or a Micropachycephalosaurus - I revel in their knowledge. If it matters to them then it matters to me, and I have the patience and capacity to listen and ask thoughtful questions. I believe little humans have big feelings that are best handled with kindness, a silly joke, and a hug. I believe little humans who think they are big humans require patience, open-mindedness, and a dash of playful sass to prove you aren't a pushover. I think all humans want to feel seen, heard, and treated with kindness, no matter the age. I am the 3rd of 9 kids and have spent countless years nannying and substitute teaching. This has made me comfortable with many different types of personalities, learning styles, and stages of development. I have a genuine love for kids and enjoy finding unique ways to engage them.
