About Gessie

Hi, my name is Gessie. Working with kids is my passion! I have extensive experience working with children of various ages. I volunteered for a year at my church's school as an aide in nursery and Pre K classes (ages 3-5). I spent six years as a catechist at my church teaching religious education to first graders. I have had various babysitting jobs caring for toddlers up to teenagers, and have cared for up to four children at a time. Since September 2019 I have worked as a respite caregiver during after school hours for a nonverbal girl who has developmental disabilities. I have a lot of special needs experience, specifically with autism. I'm employed through an agency and as such passed background checks & fingerprinting. I am a warm-hearted and caring individual, dedicated to providing the best care possible. I have dogs and am comfortable with pets.
