About Genise

I currently volunteer with Liberty Hospice Center in Durham, NC. I have a few patients that I sit with and provide social companionship. I will sing, read, and provide social interaction with the patient. Over the years I have learned how small visits can make a huge impact. I find it interesting learning about my patients previous life and asking them various questions to see what they can recall. You would be shocked the response I get. I enjoy going back home and researching a piece of history that is familiar to them and sharing it with them on my next visit. I have grandparents of my own and both are very sharp and active today. I was taught to respect and honor our elders. I am open to providing social companionship and interaction to those in need. We can go for a walk, shopping, or play board games to bring back the excitement of life. I am not certified or equipped to provide CNA care.
