I was an in home care nurse(RN) for 40 yrs. I specialized in infants with serious cardiac and or respiratory problems. Most of them had feeding tubes and some had trachs for breathing. I administered medications and breathing treatments as ordered by their doctor. I worked with physical, occupational, and speech therapist. This training was very valuable, as these infants were far behind in the developmental milestones of a 1-year-old. I prepared formula, gave feedings, kept the area and child clean and safe. I also introduced the sippy cup, finger foods, utensils. Gross and fine motor skills were learned thru play. My family has always had dogs and I am very comfortable around them. My sister had a stroke last January and I took care of her and her cat for 7months during her recovery. I am available for any questions you might have.
