I have been working in a special needs classroom for about 3 years. It is the most rewarding job I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Everyday is a new learning experience; I learn more about the children and myself. I am experienced in working with children who are diagnosed with autism and several developmental delays. I have observed many hours in school-based occupational therapy sessions and many speech sessions. I am in charge of one-to-one ABA instruction, responsible for organizing materials, taking data, and graphing students' progress. My other responsibilities include bathroom training, feeding programs, and behavior plans. I work on fine and gross motor skills, self help, and their academics.
