I hired Gaby before my son turned 1, in early 2015, on the recommendation of another mom in Marin who was moving out of state. My son took to Gaby immediately, and she and I quickly became friends too. She checks all of the boxes for the qualities people typically seek in a sitter or a nanny, but she is SO much more. She is the most engaged caregiver I've ever had (her phone stays in her bag). She single-handedly taught my son sign language, and she is just a cheerful person whose love of children comes across in how wonderfully and creatively she plays! She is super patient and funny, and my son used to shriek with joy each time she arrived. We loved having her around, and miss her very much. When my son went to preschool full time, Gaby moved on to a different family, but she continues to babysit for us as needed, and we will always be in touch. Any family would be lucky to have Gaby - she is the best.
