About Ern

I've had the privilege of working in two different caregiving settings that shaped my experience. I spent nearly 2 years as a direct care worker in an assisted living/memory care facility. After that, I worked for almost a year in an adult foster care home. During these roles, I had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of individuals. This allowed me to learn and adapt to various needs and challenges people face at different stages of life. I've dealt with situations like supporting individuals with things like OCD or PICA, communicating with nonverbal individuals, and assisting with medical devices like peg tubes and catheters. I've also gained experience in caring for those with mental health issues. These experiences have given me a solid foundation and confidence in providing compassionate care. I'm excited to continue my caregiving journey and bring my skills to the next opportunity.
