Hi there my name is Em! I have experience working in High Needs special education as a para-professional as well as in English and Math intervention classes for K-6. I prioritize positive interactions in my work and bridging the gaps that are causing the initial issues in your child's education! Conversational learning to ensure comprehension are a MUST when it comes to complex topics and breaks and snacks are always a feature of a lesson! I believe that education isn't a one size fits all approach and when students fall behind it just means their needs aren't being met properly and their educational plan just needs to be re-assessed! I have approximately 2. 5 years of college experience and I am currently taking a gap year, because of my gap year I've been given the opportunity to substitute teach for the SJSD and I've already learned so much about education! I offer in person and online supplemental instruction options!
