About Emma

Hey, I'm Emma. I have cared for children of various ages since the age of 13, including working several full and part time nannying positions as a high school and college student. I am a writer with a background in poetry. I graduated from the University of Michigan with honors in 2021. After college, I joined Teach for America. I taught K-2 art and reading at a school here in New Orleans for nearly 2. 5 years. I left teaching to free up some time to focus on my creative practice and prepare to earn my masters of fine arts. Caring for and being with children has always been a joy to me; kids have taught me so much about life and enjoying the little moments. I am always down for a spontaneous adventure, a craft, some cooking or baking (a hobby of mine), getting into some sporty things outside, playing games, and so much more. As a certified teacher and highly effective reading instructor, I can also tutor your children. I have references available on request.
