Emma was my daughter's teacher. She also watched both of our children in our home. She was the most organized and dedicated teacher either of our kiddos have had and we were bummed when she moved away. There were several times I'd see her staying late (after her shift at the daycare had ended) to write notes to each of the parents about what their babies/toddlers had done that day, including cute stories, what they did well, and areas where they needed some more guidance (no other teacher did this). Her classroom was decorated and organized so well; she had a formal filing system for parents to grab notes, artwork, etc; and my daughter was always so happy to see her in the morning (made drop off a breeze). She's also still the only daycare teacher to have given us a thank you note for a holiday / teacher appreciation bonus, and she gave it to us the same day. So much of what she did wasn’t the expectation of the school, nor the parents — she went way above and beyond her peers on her own. Overall, she works independently and sets standards for herself well above those given to her by anyone else. And, she really cares.
