About Emily

I have had years of experience in working with children, from babysitting for many families regularly as a young child, to working in preschools/child care centers during high school. In college, I volunteered at an after school program, teaching dance and arts & crafts to children, also tutoring them in their homework. I have a bachelor's degree in Child Development, with an emphasis in Child Life. As a Child Life Specialist, I prepared children for health care procedures in the hospital & supported them during procedures to empower them to cope. I also supported families and siblings of patients through their health care experiences.
