About Emily

I started working with kids when my mom started her job at our church. I would go volunteer with her. And one of her families asked if I would babysit for them. From then, my experience grew. I would babysit families on and off for years while in middle and high school. In college I was a Floating teacher at a daycare. I'd go from room to room caring for children ages infant to 5 years. I continued to volunteer with children in elementary school and would babysit children of all ages. Once I graduated, with an Associates degree in Early Childhood Admin, I was offered a job at a local Daycare. I became the lead teacher in one of the infant classrooms, but would offer to be pulled every now and again to care for other ages. I loved being able to make my own lesson plans for the kids. Learning their interests and abilities and creating projects and activities to help them develop important skills. I have always loved children and teaching them skills in a fun and friendly manner.
