About Emily

Childhood is a dynamic time - filled with strong emotions, rapid growth, and a lack of experience to easily make sense of it all (and I have to imagine parenthood might feel similar). Over the years, I have found that my job is not necessarily to care *for* children, toddlers, or even infants, but rather to support them while they learn how to navigate this world for themselves. I have the most long-term experience working with children aged 12 months to 7 years and have a particular appreciation for the age group between 12 months and 3 years. However, over the past two years, I have gotten the chance to work with babies between 6 and 12 mos. in temporary positions and have really been enjoying the chance to learn more about caring for infants. I am currently looking for long-term, part-time work of about 20-25 hours per week.
