About Emily

I am a MA licensed teacher, trained in Orton-Gillingham multisensory approach to reading. I am very passionate about early literacy skills and have done a lot of learning around best practices rooted in the Science of Reading and Structured Literacy. I pride myself on my ability to make meaningful connections with all students that I work with. My number one goal is to foster positive relationships with students so that they feel safe and supported throughout the learning process. I have had wonderful experiences with meeting students' needs virtually and have created many engaging and effective resources to help close any learning gaps students are facing. My tutoring services are diagnostic and prescriptive - every lesson will be based on your student's unique learning needs. I know often times families may be hesitant in considering virtual tutoring, but I encourage you to reach out and let me share some examples of slide decks and digital lessons I've created!
