About Emily

Hello! I'm a 24-year-old student and I'd describe my personality as calm, fun, and nurturing. I love working with kids because I am honored to think that I can become a positive influence and fond memory they can look back on. Currently, I'm looking for a job that gives me flexibility to do my school work as well. I started working with kids when I was 16 and I did paid jobs with my family when needed for years. I worked with kids aged 3-12 though I am comfortable with kids up to 15. In my spare time, I like to read, write short stories, and go for walks. I also study Mandarin. I have a passion for knowledge and love to see that spark in kids. I am incredibly talkative which pairs really well with kids because I can keep up with high energy and understand the points of calmer energy. I love following the flows of their imagination and seeing how our conversations and interactions can be driven this way. My skills include patience, engagement, homework help, and companionship.
