About Emily

I have a deep love for learning and education, so much so that I am studying to make my career out of it! I have tutored and helped others learn for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I would help my siblings (even my elder brother) and classmates with their schoolwork. In high school I was a tutor in the math tutoring club. In more recent years I have worked as a daycare teacher assisting children in the homework lab, and as a paraprofessional educator teaching students with Autism all general subject areas (math, reading, writing, science, art, etc.). My best subject is English Language Arts, but I excel in elementary and middle school math, Algebra and precalculus, science, and history as well. I also have experience with music theory, art, health, and PE. I am a firm believer in teaching students, not subjects. Every child learns differently, and I always make an effort to learn how every individual retains information best so I may help them to learn THEIR way.
