About Emily

I have 2 years of extensive experience with tutoring students especially those with an IEP and 504. I have been an active Math tutor back in Chicago. I moved to San Diego January 2023 to go to Point Loma for my Masters in School Counseling. Last year, I worked at a middle school as an academic coach with IEP and 504 students. I helped students with Math, reading, writing, and other assignments. I was also doing small Group supports for reading and math the last few months I was there (which was a huge success). Last year, I also tutored two kids every Tuesday night. I tutored the 6-year-old in reading to the point that she had made such improvement and did not need a tutor anymore. I also tutored a 12-year-old at that time with critical thinking and essay writing skills which in hope will help him in 8th grade and on.
