About Emily

While I was pursuing my biology bachelor's degree at the University of Maine, I tutored for many college classes including biology and chemistry. I tutored high schoolers in algebra, as well. As a tutor, I prioritized active learning techniques, such as memorization games and practice problems. I am currently finishing my master's degree in Ecology at Penn State University, where I have taught multiple college-level classes. While at Penn State, I have conducted science education research to understand which teaching methods are best in different settings.
