Let me tell you a bit about myself: - Experience: I started caring for children when I was 12 and since then have been a 7th grade science teacher, a live-in nanny for ages birth to 5, and a substitute teacher at an early childhood facility which cared for ages 15mos. to 5yrs. - because of my background in English and literature, I highly value reading - I recently moved from MA to the Delco area to be closer to my family and the birds - I am looking to provide part-time work/help. I can be a date night sitter or an extra hand on a busy day or afterschool help when you just need time to run errands or get food cooking for dinner. I'm flexible and adaptable and whatever the situation I will be happy to help. - I'm also open to more permanent work in the future months but can't provide full time availability until the fall of 2024. We have known Emily for several years at this point. We can say without a doubt that she is a wonderful person with a caring and warm heart. She connected with our two daughters immediately. We worked with Emily in both the home setting initially and then later Emily was a teacher at our daughters’ school. We trusted her with the care and safety of our kids entirely. Her knowledge of childhood development is extensive. She helped our youngest daughter meet and exceed various developmental milestones. She was creative, responsive to any feedback we provided (which was limited given how wonderful a job she did with our girls), and she was always extremely active with our girls both in and out of the house. Most importantly, she focused on creating a loving and nurturing environment for our girls. We give Emily our highest recommendation as a caregiver and person.
