I have 4 years of experience working with children with developmental disabilities. I have mainly worked with autistic children, teens and adults ages 4 to 20. I have worked as a personal service worker, direct support professional, community inclusion specialist and educational assistant for life skills at 4J school district. I have experience with: changing diapers/toileting/potty training, bathing, feeding especially with choking hazards (tube feeding), working on communication abilities, electronic talking devices, PEC cards or using pictures to explain routines, safety in the community and transporting individuals, adaptive arts and crafts. I have a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and plan to get a Masters in Speech Pathology in the future. My passion is working with kids with developmental disabilities and kids without disabilities and helping incorporate tools that will help them be successful in life while fostering their own sense of independence.
