About Elly

Hey there! My name is Elly. I'm 27 years old and based in Laguna Beach. I recently finished my PhD in developmental psychology at the University of Southern California, and I'm hoping to pick up a few babysitting gigs to help supplement my income as I navigate the job market. Also, getting back on the babysitting market allows me to continue to do what I loved most about my work as a PhD student - working with kiddos! :) As for my childcare credentials, during my PhD I studied early developmental social and emotional milestones and worked with children ages 3 to 18 years old. Before my PhD, I was a nanny all throughout high school and during the summers in college. I think my strongest credential, though, is that I'm the oldest of 5 siblings (i. e., I was a full time unpaid older sister nanny for many years). I'm happy to work with kids of all ages. I can help with homework, dinner, bedtime routines, etc. My schedule is flexible, but I'm mostly available afternoons/evenings.
