About Ellexis

I have nearly 15 years of experience. I have worked with infants, toddlers, older children, children with special needs. I worked as a pre-k teacher in Red Hook and I live in Pine Plains. I am happy to provide educational services, be it homework, homeschooling, or anything in between! I am trained in conscious discipline and the Reggio Emilia approach, an educational philosophy that is child-centered and relationship based. I value learning through play and the benefits of process art. I can help with Travel and Swimming Supervision. I have an associates degree in adolescent education and was working on my bachelors degree when I took sole guardianship of my baby sister who is now 11 years old. I have been working with children since my early teens and it is my passion. I am a big fan of projects, games, outdoors time, and reading as opposed to screen time. I also love working with pets! I am happy to help with household tidying and meal preparation as well.
