About Ellen

I have over 25 years experience working with children through teaching, home visiting, and parent support. In November 2022 I started bringing Holy Communion to several elderly in my town and realized I love visiting with this population. I enjoy visiting and being a companion with them, even though my visits are short. As a mother of a teenager with autism and severe behavioral needs, I am well equipped to handle challenging situations that come my way. As an experienced teacher of very young children, I am also equally prepared to meet a variety of needs, such as assistance with feeding and other self-care needs. I am certified in adult and child CPR and medication administration which I obtained through my current job. I work part-time in an early childhood program during the school year and am looking for a small homecare job to supplement that. I have restrictions in availability in order to meet the needs of my own family, but I am open to being flexible.
